The Well
This 'supergroup' was formed in 1990 by Peter Koppes for writing, recording and performing. The band included Richard Ploog, former drummer with The Church, Anthony Smith, inaugural keyboardist with Flowers/Icehouse, and Jim Leone, bassist at the time with The Celibate Rifles. Touring Australia twice in support of the releases of an EP Iridescence in 1991 and then the album Water Rites in 1995, they received good reviews. A perfect vehicle for Peter's work, there still exists a great fondness of the memory of the band.
